Bumbling Back to the World Of Blogging

It is official, I am back into the interesting world of blogging!  What exactly does that mean?  The answer of that is that I am not exactly sure.  I know that it will include some fun stories of what goes on in my kitchen - the flops and the successes.  Not only that but I hope to go beyond the superficial world of cooking and delve into deeper world of how God is working in my life.  I will be the first one to tell you that I am not a good writer, but I do enjoy it. I hope that through these posts that I can open your eyes to things you may not have thought of before, or remind you of ideas you have forgotten.

You must be wondering, why a bumble and why am I mumbling?  For those who are not Christmas fanatics, the Bumble is a misunderstood creature who features in the story of Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.  The deer who live around the Bumble do not understand it and run in fear from it.  Until one day the Bumble comes in contact with two brave souls.  Yukon Cornelius and an elf named Hermie brave the fright of Bumble and subdue it (unfortunately by removing all of its pearly whites).  If you haven't seen this classic Christmas story then I won't tell you how the Bumble becomes the second hero of the story.

So that is what a bumble is, but why did I choose it?  They are creatures that are wanted to be part of the crowd but could not communicate in a way that could be understood. Unfortunately it took removing all of its teeth for people to be able to understand what it was trying to communicate.  I find it humorous that it was the removal of teeth that made the bumble understandable... have you ever heard a person try to talk without their teeth?  - insert the stereotypical image of grandma without her teeth here

That is what it all comes down to isn't it?  Your ability to communicate with the world around us.  We are surrounded with tools for communication, texting, phoning, blogs, facebook, email, letters and the list could continue.  It seems as if each person speaks louder and louder trying to get their voice heard.  Ironically instead of getting louder, the best way to be heard it to become quieter or even taking to the extreme, silence.  When was the last time you simply listened?

I know that I talk more then listen.

Imagine all of these ideas originating from the mumblings of a bumble.  I can't wait to see what else I can discover about myself through my mumbles.
